3 - Kramnik wins 3.5-2.5
Playing for the first time in an Advanced
Chess Match,
Vladimir Kramnik come out the winner after holding to his over
night lead of one point with two draws on the third and final day.
After a well fought draw with Black pieces in game five, Anand
needed a win with white, to stay in the match...but then we had a Berlin
Wall again.
Day
2 - Kramnik takes
lead 2.5-1.5
Vladimir Kramnik won the third game with white pieces to take a
one-point lead in this six game match. Anand who
was on full aggression in the fourth encounter,
however had to be content with just a draw after a tenacious
defence by black. View

Anand and Vladimir Kramnik battle it out again. This
time with aid of computers in the Spanish city of Leon. At the end
of the first day's play, they were evenly locked 1-1 with two
draws. This
