Women 'A' runner-up IWM S Meenakshi, FIDE Master K V Shantaram, Fide rated players Hariharan and K Gopalakrishnan will be spearheading a strong line up for the first Sea India Prize money International FIDE-rated chess championship to be held here from June 18 to 22 under the auspices of
T Nagar Chess Academy.
According to organising Secretary AL Kasi, International Master-IM Norm holder R R Laxman, Senior Tamil Nadu state champion S Krishnan, state Under 25 champion G Dinesh Kumar will also participate in the tournament. Players from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, West Bengal and Manipur will be taking part in the tournament which offers a prize money of Rs 35,000 including Rs 10, 000 to the winner.
