Radha awarded the Quiz main winner prize

"I am very happy to have won the prize, and am sure that the prize will be useful for me in making my daughter a better player" said Ms Radha immediately on accepting the Quiz main contest winner award of ChessBase 7.0 CD Rom at a simple function in Chennai today. On what spurred her to take up to the game and keenly participate in the quiz, Ms Radha said, "I have been following the game for a long time and Viswanathan Anand's fantastic achievements, including world title victory is a shot in the arm for all Indians and ardent chess followers like myself."

Mr L Ravichandran, CEO, www.chennaionline.com awarded the prize to the proud winner, wishing her good luck and many such big prizes in future. For someone who is working in the computer department as a Software Assistant with the Central Government the prize is going to give more drive and enthusiasm to take up the game in an intense manner. About her immediate reaction on hearing the news of the prize, Ms Radha said, "I was quite thrilled when I first came to know that I've won a daily prize and also the main prize in the World Championship 2000 Quiz contest conducted by Chennaionline" and she continued, "It's really a big day for me today."

On her plans to make use of the prize Ms Radha quipped, "ChessBase is the most essential tool for any chess player. Being the best chess program used worldwide, it will help me a great deal in enjoying the game more. Also I will use it in grooming my little daughter, to make it big in the chess world." The happy winner concluded, "It's my wish that Viswanathan Anand's historic title triumph infuses greater commitment and interest into the game, a la Alekhine in erstwhile Soviet Union, so that we produce more world champions from India."
