| Oscar Chess Academy, Salem is
organizing a State Level Children’s Open Chess Tournament at Salem during April 7th and 8th (Saturday and Sunday) in the
following categories:
Under 10 Boys and Girls (born on or after 1.1.1991)
Under 12 Boys and Girls (born on or after 1.1.1989)
Under 16 Boys and Girls (born on or after 1.1.1985)
The Specialty of the event is the venue, which is Senguntha Mudaliar
Thirumana Mandapam, Ammapet, Salem which can accommodate 1000 players at a
time. For outstation players this will be a blessing in disguise as they can
have a free stay in the Thirumana Mandapam, which is very near to Hotels, Bus
Stand, etc. The players coming from the Chennai side can get down at the
Ammapet Bye-pass Road which is just 150 feet from the Venue.
