After winning the coveted World Junior Chess championship, 14-year-old Koneru Humpy has set her eyes on the world chess title. Humpy, who returned after the stupendous victory at World Junior Chess Championship at Athens, told reporters at the airport today that she would be trying to win the world championship and ruled out taking any "second" but would continue with her father Ashok who introduced her to the game as her coach.

Naidu. The state government has announced as additional cash insentive of Rs 10 lakh to Humpy and Rs 5 lakh to her father cum coach K Ashok. This is in addition to the Rs 25 lakh earlier announced to P Harikrishna and K Humpy for their respective victories.
The duo would be honoured at a special function next week. The state has also allotted a house site of 500 yards to each of the players. Humpy shot into international fame when she won the World Under-10 title at Cannes in France.
