Chennaionline calls on Vishy Anand

A hearty laugh with world champ Vishy AnandA quiet call of confirmation by Mrs Susheela Viswanathan, saw Chennaionline crew of trio moving with all alert for a chat with world champion Vishy Anand. Their meeting with the genial Indian also included the presentation of a momento. The twenty precious minutes sandwiched between Anand's busy schedule in his home city of Madras, was a thing that has been awaited with much eagerness by M/s Ravichandran, Asokan and Abraham who was joined en passant by yours truly.

And our team encountered the ensuing traffic jam, a normal thing in the post office home rush in the metropolis, before arriving in Vishy's house in the quiet neighborhood of Besant Nagar. Mr Viswanathan, Anand's proud father was at the gate, welcoming with a smile and offering us seats. And quietly arrived the world champ, almost unnoticed upon us. One can feel that the world title rests easily on Vishy. Mr L Ravichandran, CEO, Chennaionline presented the momento, a gold coated silver plate of Tanjore art, to the champion.

The simple presence of the champion, kept the audience tongue tied, for Vishy accepted the plaudits with his usual unassuming style. If someone takes a closer look, he can see that simplicity, the hallmark of a true champ, has always rested with Vishy. After exchange of plesantaries, the world champ posed for a few photographs bringing the day for us ordinary mortals to an end. For it will be moment in the life to cherish and remember, for the quartet who were present with the champion of "64 squares" Vishy Anand.
