Naidu announces Rs
2 lakh for families of chess players |

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced an
ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of five chess players who were killed in a gory accident in Orissa on Sunday morning. This was announced by the chief minister while laying the foundation stone for sports complex in Tirupati on Monday. A two-minute silence was observed during the function.
Meanwhile, the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh
(SAAP) has made arrangements to bring the bodies by Faluknama Express. They are expected on Tuesday evening. Earlier in the morning, Major Siva Prasad (President of Chess Association of
Hyderabad) and Y Sameer (Secretary of CAH) along with parents of few players left for
Orissa.
