CCA's lectures on World Championship games

The Chennai Chess Academy, for the second week running, is conducting a game analysis of the World Chess Championship currently being held in Hotel Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. The games analysis and lectures are from December 09 to 11, 2000 at No. 2, North Crescent Road, "Haveli", 4th floor, T Nagar, Chennai.

The panel of analysts include International Master V Saravanan, former National Champion and International Master P Konguvel and Indian Railways coach S C Subramanian. 

Chennai Chess Academy is promoted by www.Chathurangam.com and its parent site www.ChennaiOnline.com the 'all @bout the city, Chennai '  site. 

The schedule :

Dec. 09-10 - Game Analysis, 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.
Dec.11 - Simultaneous display by FIDE Master T S Ravi, 5.00 p.m., onwards.

First Week

In connection with the on going World Chess Championship at New-Delhi, chennaities had the opportunity to participate in the analysis by well known International Masters at 'Chennai Chess Academy', 4th Floor, "Haveli", 32, North Cresent Road, T.Nagar.

To begin with, IM Koshy analysed the following games on 2nd Dec. 2000.

1. GM D.Barua vs GM Vladimirov
2. GM J Lautier vs GM Leitao
3. GM Sasikiran vs GM Simutowe

On 3rd Dec. 2000, IM R.B. Ramesh presented the following games with analysis.

1. GM V Anand vs GM Bologan
2. GM Topalov vs GM Kharlov
3. GM Peter Leko vs GM Volkov

They presented interesting middle game positions from the games in the demonstration boards and the participants had the task of giving continuation of the game along with variations for different moves. Over forty chess enthusiasts participated in the session, majority of them belonged to the age group of 7-12 Years.
