S Aruprasad and L Sudarsana bagged
titles in the Under - 15 Boys and Girls Championship respectively, conducted by Salem District Chess Association on 21st and 22nd July, 2001, at Modern Matriculation School, Salem. Boys section had 7 rounds while the girls section had 5 rounds in this tournament where totally 46 players were there in the fray. Prizes were given away by Mrs Srimathi Jagannathan, President - Salem District Chess Association. M Senthilvel, Secretary - SDCA proposed vote of thanks.
