| Kasi Champion, MP takes team title |
|
Tamil Nadu's A L Kasi emerged champion scoring 6.0 points
in a three way tie for the top place in the 16th All India Postal Chess tournament which concluded at the KGS Club Hall at
Bangalore. Chennai based Kasi with a better progressive score of 26.5
took the title, followed by Orissa's Manoj Kumar Panigrahi (6.0 points, 25.5) and Yogesh Gore of Madhya Pradesh (6.0 points,
25.0).
Madhya Pradesh bagged the team title in the
event that concluded in the Garden city on 11 03 2001.
