Sivashankar win at Devakottai |
| C.V. Rajalakshmi with a better
progressive score claimed the TN State Under -18 Girls title ahead of Iswarva Shobana of
Salem at Devakottai on Sunday Dec 5. 1999. Both lost 7 points from 9 rounds. In the boys section, B. Shivashankar of Bharath Engineering
College. Chennai, emerged champion with a 7.5/9 score. Half a point behind, were - Deepan
Chakravarthy of Madurai and K. Mahendran with better progressive scores.
The top two from the boys and girls section qualify for
the National championship at Jamshedpur.
