wins West Tambaram Rapid Chess Former National "B" Champion and
ICF star R Balasubramaniam won his second straight title in a month in Chennai on the last
sunday of the millennium i.e., 26 Dec 1999. In a 164 player rapid Chess tourney conducted
by West Tambaram Chess Academy he scored 7.5 points from 9 rounds. His team mate K
Gunasekaran and local lad K K Lochan also scored 7.5 points on a triple tie, but finished
second and third respectively, on a lower progressive count. |
