Velammal MHSS clinched the second edition of the Southern Pearl Rolling Trophy inter-school State-level chess tournament, organized jointly by the Avadi chess Academy and Southern Pearl Sports Club, at the Southern Pearl
MHSS, Mugappair West, on August 04 and 05.
R Siddharth of CSI Ewart with 7.0 points and K Lakshmi Rajagopalan of Bakthavatsalam Vidhyashram with 6.5 points claimed the boys and girls under - 18 titles respectively. The function was presided over by Mr Manuel Aaron, Secretary, Tamil Nadu Chess Association
(TNCA) and the Chief Guest Mr Muthuramalingam, Chairman, Velammal Educational Trust, distributed the prizes.
