Dayalan of Cheyyar with 5.0 points claimed the title in the State-level Open Chess tournament for the blind held on 10 03 2001 and 11 03 2001. Sunil
Ignatius of Chennai was placed in the second with 4.5 points.
Prizes were given away by Mr Manuel Aaron, former National Champion.
