"A" Player M R Sangeetha and R Muthukumaran respectively. Five players, the SPIC sponsored T N State Champion M R Venkatesh (Wesley), his sister M R Sangeetha, R S Prasanna (Modern Senior Secondary School), D Ganesh and former T N State Sub-junior Champion S Raghuraman are following the leaders closely with 3.0 points each.
In Seniors Women section, Chennai District Women's Champion N Raghavi (PSBB) swept into sole lead with four points by inflicting a shock defeat on her senior rival P Priya (SMKHSS) in the fourth round. Three players, P Priya, her sister P Malarselvi (St.John's School) and National Under-12 Champion L Ishwarya Shobhana (Salem) are in the second spot with 3.0 points each.
In Under-12 Boys' section B Adhiban emerged as sole leader with 4.0 points to his credit. He defeated R Ashwath (SBOA) on the top board. Five players, M M Anandraj, R Premnath, T N State under-10 Champion S Nitin (Salem), P Karthikeyan
(JRM School) and M Akash (SBOA) are in the second place with 3.5 points each.
In Under-12 Girls section, L Sudarshana (Salem) went into sole lead with 4.0 points, by defeating R Sharanya (Kanchipuram) in the fourth round. In second place are three players, M Khushbu (Thiruvallur), V J Niranjana Bharathi (BVB), R Sharanya and F K A Arthi Lakshmi with 3.0 points each.
