Veteran FIDE Master K V
Shantaram of Indian Bank won the two day weekend Sterling Chess Academy Open Rapid Chess
tournament that concluded at the Indian Red Cross Society on Sunday 24th Oct. '99. The
tournament had prizes for veteran and age group toppers in the boys and girls section,
together with a problem-solving contest.
