India's premier
qualifying event, the National Women "B" Chess Championships is
scheduled to be held at Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. The 28th edition of National
Women "B" Chess Championship is
organized by A P Chess Association, Vijayawada Division under the
auspices of Andhra Pradesh Chess Association on behalf of All India Chess
Federation.

Eligibility:
01) Every affiliated
unit of the All India Chess Federation shall be entitled to send Four entries. If any Association/Affiliated Unit fails to send its full quota, the vacancies so caused shall
not be filled.
02) Two players each, from the AICF
recognized chess academies.
03) The Host
Association shall be entitled to field two players.
04) The
top Four from the 27th National Women "B" championships held at
Palakkad.
05) The top Two from the
15th National Junior Girls championship held at Calicut.
06) Champion of the
11th National Under - 18 Girls Championship at Chennai.
07) Current World
Champion in any category.
08) Top Three from
the current Asian Women Championship.
09) Current Asian
Junior Girls Champion.
10) A Nominee of the
Secretary, All India Chess Federation.
11) Any player who donates Rs
2000/- (Ex-National "A" players Rs 1500/-). All special entries should

Draft drawn in favour of A P Chess Association Vijayawada Division on
or before 20 07 2001
12) Four players from
areas where no State Chess association exists. those players
should write to: Mr P T Ummer Koya Hon Secretary All India Chess
Federation Nallalam P.O. Calicut - 673 027.
13) Further, if the
total number of entries is an odd number, then the host Association
may add one more entry to make it an even number.
Entry Fee:
01) Rs 600/- per
player.
Entry fee should be remitted by Demand Draft drawn in favour of
A P Chess Association Vijayawada Division to: Sri V R Bobba
C/o Gupta House of Stationery Near Diamond Park Vishakapatnam.

Late Fee: Rs 200/- in addition to the Entry
Fee will be accepted from 21 07 2001 to 26 07 2001.
Registration:
All the participants
should get their names registered. Registration forms are available at
the venue on payment of Rs 300/-.
General Rules and
Regulations:
01) The tournament will be played as per the laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss
rules. Totally nine rounds shall be played unless otherwise decided by
the Tournament Committee before commencement of the tournament.
02) Tie Breaking rules are stipulated in the latest Tie breaking FIDE rules and regulations.
03) All protest should be lodged within one hour of the point
of dispute in writing with a protest fee of Rs 100/-.
04) Rate of play will be
40 moves in 75 minutes, 15 minutes for the remainder of the game, with
an increment of 30 seconds per move from move 1 or in the absence of
DGTs 40 moves in 90 minutes and 30 minutes for the remaining moves.
05) Each participating unit must provide
at least two chess clocks for every four player entered.
Lodging:
Free lodging will be provided for
actual participants and one official nominated by the concerned State
Association fro 26 07 2001 to 02 08 2001. All accompanying
persons including parents and guardians will have to make their
arrangements for their stay.
