is coached by Ch. Kesavananda Krishna, while Vinuthna is coached by P.
Jaganmohan. The second place went to the experienced Pune gile Eesha
Karavade, while another Pune lad Akshay Raj Kore took the silver in
the Boys section. Top
two from the Boys and Girls event will represent the country in the
World and Asian events. The top 14 players in boys' and girls' sections here have qualified for the selection
tournament to be held later to pick the Indian team for the Youth Chess Olympiad. For
the Hyderabad girl Vinuthna, it was her maiden National title and has
come in her backyard. The determined 14-year-old girl should go far
with her perseverance and solid playing style. High on the progressive
score, Vinuthna drew her final round against Anoori Shah in just nine
moves, confirming her title.
