Sriram Jha emerges Champion

Delhi based International Master Sriram Jha of LIC of India triumphed scoring 9.0 points in the Rochess International FIDE Rated tournament at Sahyog Mandir Hall, Thane on Saturday 7th December, 2002. Following him half a point behind were IM Ravi Hegde (Union Bank of India), R R Laxman (Tamil Nadu), IM Roktim Bandopadhyay (West Bengal) and Pankaj Joshi (Western Railways). The result continues Sriram Jha's fine run this season, who won the Piloo Mody FIDE Rated event last fortnight at Lucknow.
